Jacob Glandon graduated from English Valleys in 2019, went to Indian Hills and William Penn, and now he is self-employed, doing a variety of things from film production to digitizing media.

On Sunday, September 27, at 2:00 p.m., Jacob plans to talk about Iowa’s place in the film industry, and he will discuss some of the projects he has been involved with lately.

This young filmmaker has already worked on a variety of film productions, both locally and abroad. In this program, he intends to discuss all of the ways that Iowa is connected to the movie business, from films shot here to the Iowans working in film both today and yesterday.

Jacob is the director, producer, and editor of a highly-praised documentary on What Cheer, Iowa, and he has directed a handful of other documentaries and short films. He has created films for businesses in our community and elsewhere, and he worked on a big-budget movie in Oskaloosa in 2024.

Jacob plans to discuss his experiences in filmmaking and will be showing short clips from some of his recent work. He will allow time at the end of his program for audience Q&A.
