Belle Plaine 25-25-25, Iowa Valley 18-20-21

The team was 35 of 106 in kills with 16 errors. Nicholaa Phillippe had 13 kills. Alyssa Tegeler had 14 kills for Belle Plaine. Mandy Chizek had 32 assists. Macy Dodd had 15 digs. Kieran Holmberg added 13. Chizek had 12 and Phillippe had 11. Phillippe and Tegeler had two blocks each. The team was 65 of 73 in serves with 4 aces. Grace Bean was 5 of 9. Chizek was 14 of 14 with 2 aces. Dodd was 13 of 14. Lillian Fowler/Phillippe was 9 of 10. Holmberg was 14 of 14 with 2 aces. Phillippe was 10 of 12.

Belle Plaine (27-12) hosts Springville (18-16) Thursday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. On the other side of the bracket Lisbon (35-7) hosts Prince of Peace (22-16). The winners play Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. at Iowa City Regina.

Coach Kressley’s comments: Last night was a great all-around team effort. Mandy Chizek did a great job distributing the ball well offensively. Alyssa Tegeler did a great job putting the ball away! If we continue to play like this we will be hard to stop!
