Belle Plaine closed its regular season Thursday, Oct. 14, at Montezuma, losing in SICL tourney action to Colfax-Mingo.

Mandy Chizek had 11 assists for Belle Plaine. The team was 14 of 92 for kills with 14 errors. Grace Bean had six kills. Chizek had 20 digs. The team was 25 of 31 for serves with two aces. Getting aces were Abbie Miller and Jacey Reineke.

Belle Plaine (10-20) hosts Lynnville-Sully (6-24) in Class 1A Region 6 volleyball competition on Monday, Oct. 18. The winner plays at North Tama on Wednesday, Oct. 20, against the winner of the North Tama (23-8) vs. Meskwaki (0-18-1) game. The next round is Monday, Oct. 25 at North Tama. The regional final is Oct. 27 at a site to be determined.
