Class 1A Region 6 quarterfinal at Traer

North Tama (28-10) advanced to the semifinals of the Class 1A regional tournament with a 3-0 win over Belle Plaine (11-21) at Traer on Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Mandy Chizek had 16 assists for Belle Plaine. Belle Plaine was 19 of 80 for kills with 13 errors. With seven kills was Jacey Reineke. Reineke also had 10 digs. Chizek added nine. The team was 34 of 37 in serves with three aces. With one ace each were Bree Shaull, Grace Bean and Reineke.

North Tama faces Montezuma on Monday, Oct. 25, at Traer. The regional final is Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Benton Community in Van Horne.
