  7. Discuss for approval the SJ/SM Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive collection from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday September 10, 2022 at the corner of Highway 21 & and 7th Avenue in Belle Plaine.
  8. A. Open the public hearing to take bids for the property at 1606 7th Avenue, Belle Plaine, Iowa. (Opening bid of $5,000 required.)
    B. Discuss for approval resolution #22-08-06 a resolution that authorizes the final disposition of the real estate at 1606 7th Avenue.
  9. A. Open the second public hearing to take bids for the property at 910 8th Avenue, Belle Plaine, Iowa. (Opening bid of $5,000 required.)
    B. Discuss for approval resolution #22-08-05 a resolution that authorizes the final disposition of the real estate at 910 8th Avenue.
  10. Discuss for possible approval resolution #22-08-03 a resolution proposing to dispose of real property and publishing notice to a public hearing. Resolution deals with the property at 902 13th Street with a minimum bid of $5,000. Public hearing to be held on September 21, 2022 at the Belle Plaine City Council Meeting.
  11. Discuss for possible approval resolution #22-08-04 a resolution proposing to dispose of real property and publishing notice to a public hearing. Resolution deals with the property at 1207 13th Street with a minimum bid of $5,000. Public hearing to be held on September 21, 2022 at the Belle Plaine City Council Meeting.

12 Final discussion on the purchasing of a used siren for the west side of town.

  1. Discuss for possible approval a Class B Native Wine Permit with Sunday Service for Cornerstone Apothecary at 731 12th Street, Belle Plaine, Iowa. (Actually, an ownership change.)

  3. City Administrator’s Report: Update on current projects.
  4. Mayor’s Report: Benton/ Iowa County Development Group Meeting report.
  5. Correspondence: citizens e-mail/ Chauffeurs, Teamsters & Helpers Local Union #238 Letter.
  6. Old Business: None
  7. Resident Comments
  8. Consideration of a Motion to Enter into Closed session Iowa Code 21.5 (1) (c) To discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the government body in that litigation.
  9. Motion to come out of closed session.
  10. Motion & proposal on the actions to be taken from closed session.
  11. Adjournment: to Fisher Building City Shop at 806 3rd Avenue for tour.
