Regular meeting of the Norway City Council was called to order by Mayor Bruce Volz at 5:00 PM. Roll Call – Present: Robby Miller, Kelly Luedtke, & Karson Kuester Absent: Ron Miller & Kevin Frese
Motion to accept agenda, minutes, bills, and treasurers report made by Robby Miller and seconded by Kuester. Motion carried 3-0.
Motion to approve resolution 22-13 accepting and approving the application of Cory D. Havill and Stacie J. Havill to annex a tract of ground to the City of Norway, IA made by Robby Miller and seconded by Kuester. Motion carried 3-0.
Motion to approve resolution 22-14 changing the mileage rates paid to city officials and employees for use of personal vehicles on city business made by Robby Miller and seconded by Luedtke. Motion carried 3-0.
Mayor Volz presented a sample agreement to council of a pre-treatment agreement between the City and the industrial property on Euclid Ave. The actual agreement is being prepared.
Council is looking at funding options for the Norway Fire Station expansion as well as replacing and relocating the emergency siren.
Agenda item #7 State Revolving Fund final loan documents has been tabled as this is currently being handled by the city attorney.
The approval for a commercial building on residential/leased property has been tabled as council needs more information.
Motion to approve adding the library director to the wage resolution made by Robby Miller and seconded by Kuester. Motion carried 3-0.
Motion to approve adding a new streetlight on Park Drive made by Kuester without a second. The motion does not pass.
Motion to accept the 2022 Law Enforcement Agreement made by Robby Miller and seconded by Luedtke. Motion carried 3-0.
Motion to approve alcohol use at the Norway Park Pavilion for August 28th made by Kuester and seconded by Luedtke. Motion to deny an overnight stay at the Norway Park Pavilion for August 28th made by Robby Miller and seconded by Luedtke. Motions carried 3-0.
Nuisance properties are being handled by the City Attorney.
Motion to adjourn at 6:47pm made by Robby Miller and seconded by Kuester. Motion carried 3-0.
