COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
August 4, 2022
6:00 pm

The regular meeting of the Keystone City Council was held Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 6:00 pm. Roll Call members present: Hennings, Janss, Kaiser, Monson and Selk . Absent: none. Also Present: Ron Tippet, Benton County Sheriff, Erin Janss and Justin Selk, Keystone Residents, Jennifer Zahradnik, City Attorney. Mayor Mark Andresen called the meeting to order.

Several members of the community and surrounding areas voiced their concerning regard the dangerous animal ordinance. The council will take their suggestions and comments into consideration but no action was taken at the meeting.

Motion made by Janss, second by Monson to approve the June 3, 2022 minutes. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Selk, second by Hennings to approve the June 9, 2022 minutes. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Monson, second by Kaiser to approve the June 2022 treasurer report. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Monson, second by Hennings to approve a 20×20 unattached garage at the property located at 106 2nd Avenue. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Kaiser, second by Janss to approve the building permit for Darrell and Rita Pickering to construct a 133’x112.5’ house on Lot 2 in the West Franzenburg Addition. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Kaiser, second by Monson to approve the building permit for Ricky and Penni Pickering to construct a 71×54 house at 96 7th Avenue. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Janss, second by Hennings to approve Resolution 0-8-01-22, 08-02-22 and 08-03-22 to assess properties for outstanding water bills. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Monson, second by Hennings to approve the Tobacco/Vape Renewal for the Keystone Mini Mart. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Selk, second by Janss to approve the Law Enforcement Contract with Benton County Sheriff Department. Motion carried. All voted aye.

Motion made by Janss, second by Hennings to approve the bills as read. Motion carried. All voted aye.

The next regular meeting will be Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 6pm.
