Belle Plaine (11-7) defeated Iowa Valley (5-12) in SICL girls’ volleyball. Mandy Chizek had 23 assists for Belle Plaine. The team had 36 kills in 107 attempts with 13 errors. Grace Bean had 14 kills. Jacey Reineke added nine. Bean also had 17 digs. Alyssa Steinback had 14 and Jacey Reineke added 12. Belle Plaine was 82 of 95 for served with 25 aces. Rachel Benton had eight aces. Ava Parizek added five and Bean had six. Chizek had two blocks, as did Kyla Shaull.

Belle Plaine travels to English Valleys (6-8) on Monday, Sept. 19. They travel to Sigourney (9-3) on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 5:30 p.m. On Sept. 24, Belle Plaine travels to South Tama for the South Tama Tournament.
