BP gets district win over North Mahaska

Belle Plaine earned a district win over North Mahaska, at New Sharon on Sept. 23. In passing, Cejay Mumby was 2 of 7 for 21 yards and on interception. Ty Alcott was 0 for 1.

Belle Plaine rushed for 271 yards, led by Alcott was 137 yards in 23 attempts with four touchdowns, the longest for 25 yards. Connor Timm had 13 carries for 90 yards with one 35-yard touchdown run. Timm caught one pass for 20 yards. Sam DeMeulenaere had one catch for one yard.

On defense. Chase Wickwire had 8.0 total tackles. Jeremy Reineke had four solo tackles and one sack. Alcott returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Timm had one punt return for 35 yards. Alcott had two punt returns for 28 yards. Wickwire and six kickoffs for 197 yards. Alcott had two punts for 40 yards. Timm had two two-point conversions. Brooks DeMeulenaere had one.
