Quarterback Cejay Mumby was 3 of 7 in passing for three yards and three interceptions. Belle Plaine rushed for 129 yards, led by Brooks DeMeulenaere with seven carries for 49 yards. Connor Timm had 14 carries for 35 yards. Ty Alcott had 16 carries for 43 yards. Sam DeMeulenaere caught one pass for four yards. Alcott had two catches for -1 yards. Chase Wickwire had six total tackles. Aidan Timm recovered one fumble, as did Lane Vokoun. Connor Tim had six kickoff returns for 114 yards. Alcott had one return for 20 yards. Wickwire had one kickoff for 25 yards. Alcott had three punts for 110 yards.

Grundy Center had 214 yards passing and 142 yards rushing.

Grundy Center will host Columbus Community (8-1) on Friday, Oct. 28. Also in their pod are East Buchanan (8-1) and Alburnett (8-1)
