Jenna Twedt led Benton with 21 points. McKenna Kramer had 12 and Emma Townsley added 11 points. Townsley had nine rebounds. Piper Nelson added six rebounds. Townsley also had seven assists. Jenna Twedt had four. Nelson had three steals. Twedt had three blocks.

Mid-Prairie was 14 of 44 for field goals, 4 of 8 for three-pointers, and 11 of 14 for free throws. They had 35 rebounds, six assists, four steals, three blocks, 16 turnovers and 12 fouls.

Benton travels to Iowa City Regina (2-0) for a non-conference game that starts at 6:30 p.m.

Blake Daugherty had 19 for Benton. Evan Daugherty added 11 and Noah Franck had 10. Tim Thompson had six rebounds. Owen Tjelmeland had five assists. With two steals each were Franck and Wyatt Rinderknecht. Blake Daugherty had one block.

Mid-Prairie was 21 of 51 for field goals, 12 of 32 for three-pointers, and 17 of 24 for free throws. The team had 33 rebounds, 16 assists, 10 steals, two blocks, 12 turnovers and 15 fouls.

Benton travels to Iowa City Regina (0-0) on Thursday, Dec. 1, and hosts Grinnell (1-0) on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, in Van Horne.
