Coach Jeff Zittergruen said, “Very excited and proud of our team for being able to earn a trip back to Des Moines this year! Our girls did an outstanding job of executing the defensive game plan and kept West Liberty frustrated for most of the night. Jenna Twedt had a very efficient game scoring the basketball and we got key shots at different points in the game from Emma Townsley, McKenna Kramer, Piper Nelson and Zoey Junge. One of the biggest factors in the game was our ability to rebound the ball. Addison Phillips, Piper and Zoey all did a fantastic job on the glass to keep them to one shot and provide second chance opportunities for us on offense. We are excited to get the opportunity to keep playing basketball and will take the next week to prepare for state. The energy from our fans last night was outstanding and we hope to carry that with us to Des Moines next Monday!”

Statistics are coming for West Liberty.
