Monday, August 10th, 2026 at 5:30pm
Benton County Nature Center, 5718 20th Ave Drive, Vinton, IA
Board Members Present: Sam Hunter, Becky Van Wey, Randy Scheel, Dan Hill, Derrick Parker
Board of Supervisors Present: Tracy Seeman
Staff Present: Zach Parmater, Shelby Williams, Cecilia Dirks, Cara Harrill, Ethan Hennings

1. Call to Order at 5:32pm by Scheel
2. Approve Agenda – Motion to approve by Hill, seconded by Hunter. All aye, motion passed.
3. Guests or public participation (kept to a maximum of 3 minutes, the Board will not take any action on
   public comments at this meeting but may do so in future meetings).
4. Discuss/Action Consent Agenda: Motion to approve by Parker, seconded by Van Wey. All aye, motion
   passed.
   a. Approve minutes from last regular meeting
   b. Approve Conservation and IRM expenditures and revenues
   c. Receive and file activity report
5. Business
   a. Discuss/Action – Hannen RFP – Motion by Hill to approve the RFP with an adjustment to the
   final date, seconded by Hunter. All aye, motion passed.
   b. Discuss/Action – Conservation Easement
   c. Discuss/Action – 28E Agreement – Motion by Hill to approve the 28E with City of Garrison,
   seconded by Parker. All aye, motion passed.
   d. Discuss Budget

7. Other discussion – Hill gave update on tree opportunity for the Foundation

9. Adjourn – Parker moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:58 PM, Van Wey seconded. All aye, motion
   passed.
