Belle Plaine’s boys’ basketball team defeated Lone Tree in a non-conference home game, Monday, Nov. 29.

The team was 23 of 50 for field goals, 1 of 3 for three-pointers, and 8 of 19 for three throws. They had 38 rebounds, 16 assists, nine steals, 11 blocks and 16 turnovers.

Ben DeMeulenaere had 28 points. Brooks DeMeulenaere added nine. Wyatt Kuch had six assists. Ben DeMeulenaere had 14 rebounds and four steals. He also had nine blocks.

Belle Plaine’s boys’ basketball team picked a conference win on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Keota.

The team was 18 of 53 for field goals, 7 of 24 for three-pointers and 12 of 22 for free throws. They had 38 rebounds, 11 assists, six steals, three blocked shots and 21 turnovers. Ben DeMeulenaere had 21 rebounds. Kuch had four assists. Keaton Parrott had three steals. Ben DeMeulenaere had two blocks.

Belle Plaine’s girls’ basketball game lost in SICL action, Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Keota, 37-27.

Mandy Chizek led Belle Plaine with nine points. Olivia Bohlen had nine rebounds and two assists. Jenna Fry had three steals. Chizek blocked two shots. The team was 12 of 65 for field goals, 0 for 12 in three-pointers and 3 of 9 for free throws. They had 33 rebounds, 10 steals, three assists and three blocks. Belle Plaine had 13 turnovers.
