  5. Approval of the following consent agenda items: Note: All items listed under the consent agenda will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a request is made prior to the time Council votes on the motion.
    a. Minutes From: March 14, 2022
    b. Bills List Totaling: $16,802.48
  6. Council Action
    a. Playground equipment for west park – previously it was said in the department reports it was
    okay to purchase a digger and merry-go-round – needed to be in council action.
    b. Mapping project
    c. Code Book – Changes that can be made prior to Iowa Codification meeting with us with state additions and deletions going forward.
    I. Chapter 17 – Page 77 – Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, EMT Director are voted on by the
    fire department in addition to or instead of appointed by the mayor; both are approved by
    the council.
    II. Chapter 20 – Adding City Clerk to persons able to receive information from or give to the
    city attorney.
    III. Fireworks – City needs to approve residents to set off fireworks or not, and date and time of
    day limitations.
    IV. Chapter 55 – Cities are being challenged in court and losing in regards to allowing Pit Bulls
    in town. Remove Pit Bulls and keep Vicious Dogs in code.
    V. Chapter 55 – The City does not have an impound – section should be removed.
    VI. Chapter 148 – Delete Chapter – items are covered in Chapter 10, Section 10.02 #6, and
    Chapter 62, combine all to Chapter 50.

    e. Fire Department Bylaw and Constitution Approval
    f. Investing
  7. Adjourn
    *Pursuant to 21.4(2) of the Code of Iowa (2001), the City has the right to amend this agenda up until 24 hours before the posted meeting time.
