Benton girls’ face CPU in Rivalry Saturday contest

Jenna Twedt led No. 5 Benton with 11 points. She also had seven rebounds. Emma Townsley had three steals. Twedt added two blocks. Benton was 7 of 41 for field goals, 1 of 17 for three-pointers, and 7 of 7 for free throws. The team had 29 rebounds, six steals, four blocks and 14 turnovers. No. 8 Center Point-Urbana (2-0) was 8 of 39 for field goals, 2 of 14 for three-pointers, and 9 of 12 for free throws. They had 36 rebounds, five steals, four blocks and 13 turnovers. CPU had 10 fouls. Benton had 16 fouls.

Benton (1-1) hosts Mid-Prairie (1-0) on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 6:30 p.m. They travel to Iowa City Regina (1-0) on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m.
