BLAIRSTOWN COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS –June 8, 2026

The regular meeting of the Blairstown City Council was held Monday, June 8, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Moenck, Hagen, Hendryx and Franzen. Absent: Becker.

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Metz. Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Moenck to approve the agenda as read. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Hagen to approve the May 11th minutes. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Hagen to approve the May 23rd minutes. All Ayes.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Franzen to approve the May Financial Reports. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Franzen to approve the following submitted and added bills. All Ayes.

Dawn Tiedemann was present to discuss needed maintenance at the welcome to Blairstown sign north of town.

The monthly Maintenance Report was given.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Hagen to accept the quote for valve replacement at the water treatment plant. All Ayes.

Discussion was held about the bridge replacement.

Discussion was held about sealcoating of streets.

The monthly Library Report was given.

The monthly Ambulance Report was given.

The monthly Fire Department Report was given.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Hendryx to approve Jackson Larson as a junior member. All Ayes.

The monthly First Responders Report was given.

The monthly Blairstown Emergency Services building update was given.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Franzen to approve Resolution 26-07: Employee Wages. All Ayes.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Franzen to approve Ordinance 222: Partial Street Vacation. All Ayes.

Motion made by Franzen, seconded by Moenck to waive the second and third readings. All Ayes.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Franzen to approve Ordinance 223: Water Rates. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Franzen to waive the second and third readings. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Franzen to approve Ordinance 224: Garbage Rates. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Hagen to waive the second and third readings. All Ayes.

Motion made by Franzen, sec- onded by Hagen to approve a tobacco permit for Btown Express. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Hagen to approve Resolution 26-08: Fund Transfers. All Ayes.

Motion made by Franzen, seconded by Hendryx to approve Resolution 26-09: Named Depositories. All Ayes.

Motion made by Moenck, seconded by Franzen to approve Resolution 26-10: Investment Policy. All Ayes.

The next regular meeting will be held July 13, 2026 at 7:00pm.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Moenck to adjourn, meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
